Tree Planting at St Saviours School

Supporting our local community is important to us and last week Andrew Searle, Jacksons CI General Manager visited a local school to help out with an environmental project they are working on.

Andrew rolled up his sleeves, picked up a shovel and joined the children of St Saviours Primary School as they planted some 520 trees around the perimeter of the school field!

Every child in the local primary school will plant at least one of a mix of native species including Elder, Holly, Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Field Maple and Privet, which together will form a new wildlife corridor.

The wonderful new wildlife corridor will not only create new habitats for wildlife but also provide shade and block noise and pollution from passing traffic and of course help in the fight against climate change.
