Jacksons help recognise Jersey’s young footballing talent

A key player in Jacksons team was guest of honour at St Peter FC Academy Jacksons Annual Awards for the 2019/20 season.

Junior Clubman of the Year was this year shared by Osman Stewart-Sunley and Taylor Wood with both winners receiving a trophy. This was awarded for all the help and assistance they had given to the coaches in laying out and collecting equipment used at their training sessions.

Finally, the Chairman’s Award was won this season by Karl Benest who managed both the U16’s and U 18’s. The award was for his total commitment to the Academy, for his positive and diligent approach and the major contribution Karl made to both organising and motivating his players.

Brian Foulser, St Peter FC Academy Chairman said, “The Academy not only coaches players to be good footballers but to play the game in the right spirit with their five core values always at the fore: Enjoyment, Respect, Teamwork, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

“Extremely talented youngsters are emerging across all age levels and we can look to the future with excitement and enthusiasm.

“Sponsorship is vital to enable the Academy to maintain the high levels it attains and we thank Jacksons for their superb and continued support which benefits around 200 young players each season.”

Steve Gladdish said, “The team at Jacksons are delighted to be associated with St Peter FC Academy and working with them to benefit so many youngsters across all age groups from 5 years to 18. We’d like to congratulate all this year’s worthy winners and we look forward to seeing how all the Academy’s players progress on the pitch in the coming years.”
