Trainee Parts Advisor
Salary: Dependent on experience
Here at Van Mossel Jacksons we are looking for a motivated and organised Trainee Parts Advisor to join our parts department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of parts ordering, stock control, and customer support within a busy service environment. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career in parts or the automotive/service industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn how to identify, order, and supply parts accurately for the workshop and customers
- Support technicians and service advisors with parts enquiries and availability
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing parts deliveries
- Help maintain accurate stock records and carry out stock checks
- Learn to use parts and inventory management systems
- Ensure parts are issued and returned correctly
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe parts department
- Assist with handling customer queries in a professional manner
- Follow company processes and manufacturer guidelines
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT and computer skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well as part of a team
Desirable:
- Interest in vehicles, parts, or the automotive/service industry
- Previous retail, warehouse, or customer service experience
- Basic mechanical or technical awareness
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
